Bidrage med feedbackWent for sunday carvery while visiting family in the area.Great choice of beef, pork, turkey and chicken pie and sausages.Loads of veg and bubble and squeak. Lovely mash and yorkshire puds and tasty gravy.Friendly pub with good atmosphere .Four lunches 3 beers and a coke for £55.Excellent value. Will definately visit when in the area next time.Cheered up a very wet sunday.
We called in on the off chance of food. Friendly staff, friendly locals and wonderful food! 4 adult meals, 4 drinks 2 of which were alcoholic £55! Food was beautiful and portions very generous.
We popped in for Sunday Lunch. The Sunday Lunch was a carvery. The food was absolutely excellent. Can not fault the food what so ever. Very busy so lots of people agree. The only reason for dropping a star is to do with taking your dog. The pub gets busy and has limited space. I would not recommend taking a large dog inside and also dogs are not allowed to go upstairs where the food is being served. So you need to stay downstairs where one needs to stay with the dog while the other goes upstairs to be served with the food. I would leave the dog at home to enjoy your meal here. It does state dog friendly. I would go again I can’t stress enough how great the food is.
Had another lovely meal, always class home cooked fresh food, dog friendly, reasonably priced and lovely people 100% recommended
Popped in here for a pint before visiting the aquarium and thought the place was good so after the aquarium we went back in and tried to get some food to be told the kitchen was closed (we did not realise how long we had been in the aquarium). Got a pint anyway and sat outside contemplating getting a Greggs instead when the blond lady behind the bar came out and said although the kitchen had closed she had checked and they could still do us a sandwich and chips so we said yes please! Tuna mayo sandwich and proper cooked chips were lovely so thank you for going the extra mile!
