Kyoto Japanese - Alexandria

I had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered some tasty rolls like Salmon Avocado, Spicy Tuna, and AAC Roll, along with some edamame. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was pleased to see that the restaurant offers allergy accommodations, and my order was safely packaged. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I recently returned after a long absence and was pleased to find that the selection is still great. The food here can easily compete with other Japanese restaurants. Unfortunately, I did not see any poke bowls on the menu. I apologize for not being able to provide photos, I was too hungry to snap any before digging in. I also enjoyed the fried oysters (as seen in the picture of a single fried object).

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants! Whenever I come here the sushi chef and I reminisce about Japan and their tamago is homemade (which makes it the best I've had in the USA). Authentic cuisine and great selection. Been coming here since before I moved to the area. I used to make it a point to come here at least once per vosit to DC.

Came for lunch this time, have been here several times in the past and it's always been good and fresh. This time the sushi was a bit drier and now as fresh as I remember it.

Very unhygienic scary esp for sushi place (saw 2 small roaches!???????? Suggest trying May Island which is clean better ambiance! EDIT TO ADD: If the owner can 't accept the truth and realities of being in a public space with online reviews, too bad. Everyone consider what I said and do go to MAY ISLAND, which is just several blocks from here! :
