Galae Thai - Alexandria

We visited this restaurant for appetizers and were very pleased with our choices. We tried the chicken and potato stuffed puff pastry, spring rolls, and coconut curry seafood soup, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent.

I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and beef at medium spiciness and it was delicious. My order arrived quickly and the service was friendly as always.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant. The food was ready quickly, but I was disappointed with the watery and flavorless green curry. The meal only came with a small amount of rice for a high price of $18. The pad Thai was also underwhelming. Adding spring rolls to our order pushed the bill up to $60, which I felt was too expensive. Overall, I don't plan on returning to this restaurant.

Beautiful place, enviable plants, nice atmosphere, reasonable food prices. Our server was attentive and accommodating. The drinks were a little overpriced for the food price point (3.50 for a cup of tea), but the fruit punch was awesome.

Nice dim ambiance. Honestly, i cannot believe i hadn?t reviewed this restaurant sooner. I discovered it about 7 or 8 years ago when i met my coworker who worked next door for lunch.
