Saludos - Albury

After dining at Saludos Spanish restaurant, for the first time; my comment to the young hostess, was: “That wasn’t a meal. That was an experience! I didn’t want it to end!” I ordered the lamb shank with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a side serve of chorizo (not a menu standard). The meat was so tender and prepared to perfection. It was, without doubt, the very best lamb shank that I’ve ever tasted! Similarly, the mashed potato was whisked to perfection. So creamy, tasty and devoid of lumps. Overall, the meal was perfectly balanced and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Prices are certainly reasonable and very competitive; considering the generous serving sizes and exceptional quality of the ingredients. A great deal of kudos must be afforded to the young chef. She is a very talented young woman. The restaurant itself, is spotlessly clean and possesses a lovely sense of character charm. ‘Saludos’ is without exception; one of the very best restaurants to be found within the NSW/Victoria border region (not just in Albury). I was personally unaware that the restaurant even existed. It was only for the fact that a vacant parking spot existed out the front, that I decided to pull in. I am so incredibly glad that I did!

I had my 40th birthday in the beer garden during winter and it was quiet warm. The atmosphere was great as was the food, fresh and delicious and Jan and her team were so accommodating of all our needs which made preparing to be very little effort on our part and for a relaxing great night. Highly recommend Saludos they are fabulous, and will not disappoint.

We had a fantastic evening here. We enjoyed a large selection of tapas. Pretty close to the best calamari I have ever eaten. We left with very full bellies and very satisfied!!

Such a great experience!! Delicious paella and a great selection of drinks for dinner then freshly pressed juice and another epic meal for breakfast with wonderful service and a stunning authentic Spanish atmosphere. Thanks so much!!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant and last night finally had the opportunity and was not disappointed. The atmosphere with the fireplace was lovely but the food was the showcase with tapas delights that were so very tasty accompanied by a good wine list with a great special of the night. A fantastic night out reasonably priced and a new favourite restaurant definitely will be back.
