Sumo Sushi - Albany

10/10, absolutely worth it. The soft Soft Shell Crab was so good, and the Caterpillar roll was delicious. The Combination Tempura never disappoints, and was delightfully crispy. I love the miso soup here as it is hearty, savory, and perfect for a cold day. The Katsu Plate bento was also perfectly cooked and crispy with delicious sides. I would recommend this place any day.

I got the Chicken Teriyaki/Tempura /Gyoza. It was excellent and a surprisingly good value. It came with a ton of chicken (I have half leftover for tomorrow), 4 gyoza, 6 vegetable tempura pieces, a shrimp tempura, iceberg lettuce with a sweet dressing, and miso soup. Im used to getting like 2 gyoza and only a couple pieces of veggie tempura with a bento box. My partner got the Chicken Teriyaki /Tempura /California Roll box. It came with 6 pieces of CA roll in place of my gyoza. The teriyaki sauce is the thin style. I thought it was quite good, my partner wanted a sauce with more oomph.

We ordered the Gyozas, lion king roll, and caterpillar roll. The food was delicious and fresh and the portion size was good.

Been eating there since they opened is my go to sushi place in the Bay Area. The fish is fresh and the price is reasonable. My favorite is the lion king roll

My friend made reservations for us here and the restaurant was very accommodating! The people here were very attentive and super pleasant which made the whole experience just absolutely great! The restaurant had a good trendy vibe and I liked the interior wall arts. We loved their nigiris especially their scallops and salmon which all of them were fresh and perfectly cut. Quite attentive service and overall, I loved everything about this restaurant in terms of food, the price, service, and they have parking which is always a plus. Will definitely come back and try different dishes off of their menu. Highly recommend!
