Stamford Plaza Adelaide - La Boca Bar and Grill

It was ok. Mains came out literally after entrees finished. Smells of the restaurant were amazing as you walk in.

I visited here with my bf last night for his birthday. We choose this restaurant because they have my bf's favourite cooktail Pisco Sour. I wrote this as my special request when I made the reservation. I also requested to have a table for two by the window. But when we arrived the restaurant, we were arranged to sit at the big table for eight people. We asked to change to a table for two but the waitress arranged us a sit next to the toilet even there were lots of empty tables at 5:30pm non-peak service time on a Thursday night. And when we want to order the cocktail, the waitress didn't even know what Pisco Sour was and told us they were not providing this drink temporarily because of COVID restrictions. We understand this is a hard time for restaurant but if this is the case, they should let us know when we make the booking. We ordered a burger and pork ribs. The fries was nice but the other food was average. Afterall, we were very disappointed about the service and arrangement, especially for the seating and the drinks. I think this restaurant is overrated as we don't feel respected as a customer. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Food was uneatable. The baked gnocchi was so mushy it tasted like instant powdered mashed potatoes with no seasoning. The meat platter was oily yet the meat was dry, covered in fat and tasted like it had been reheated 10 times over the last 72 hours.

The restaurant was busy on Father's day, excellent food and friendly staffs great drink list. The open kitchen with fire is the highlight of the restaurant!
