Portillo's Addison

Portillo's maintains a consistent level of quality, but there have been occasional issues, such as a frequently broken tea machine and variations in the amount of Italian beef. The ordering experience is mixed, with some staff being okay, while the inconsistency in how orders are called out adds a unique charm to each visit. Despite these minor hiccups, the overall quality remains intact.

With the exception of no unsweetened ice tea available today, food is always great

Ok come here have a seat. Anytime you see not only a steady stream of local construction workers choosing a place, but also all the employees leaving with food from that place, trust the instinct to go there. We were just skating through Chicago needing a quick meal on a long road trip and was Portillo's ever a nice surprise! We both had the italian beef sandwich with hot peppers and a chocolate shake, both of which were exceptionally good. The bread hit all my markers- soft, crispy out side, not too mushy where it was wet from the beef. The beef- SO THINLY SLICED. A common sandwich uncommonly well made. Pretty sure we'll be stopping in on our way home.

Food is always good at portillo's. Rodeo burger had it for the first time. I will have it again for sure!!
