Odessa House - Addison

We live in a small area where restaurants are not everywhere. We can't really be picky if we want to take a little closer than 20 minutes away instead of cooking ourselves. I sometimes wonder if this is something that the cook/owner understands. I order food from here a lot. I never know what I actually will get. I rarely get the meal I choose as it is written on the menu. I tried to order it just like the menu. Not even close. So I just stopped ordering this special meal and switching over to something else - no luck there too, at least after the first time I ordered it. About 25% of the time I love what I get, so it's certainly not all bad. I just don't understand why they have a menu if the cook/owner simply decides to put everything they feel on the meal that is usually about half an average onion sliced into slices, a 1/2 of a glass of banana pepper rings, and a half sweet pepper. Sure, I just pick them off, which takes about 15 minutes and then I'm disappointed by what's left, which is not much. I like spicy things, but this is simply exaggerated, and none of them was on the menu, like on the meal. I wanted the meal I paid, like the one time I ordered it and it was delicious, as written on the menu, just like that. It's just disappointing that this is the best we have in the middle of nowhere, so we just keep the order from there if we really don't like cooking or traveling on for something we know will be really good. Bottom-line, if it were more consistent, I would order much more often from the Bucket. The bartender is fantastic!!

We were very happy that Bucket Bar Grill was close and open as we were 5 very hungry hikers! We were pleasantly surprised how clean and new the restaurant was. The owner's mother was our waitress, she was a treasure! The portions were generous and the food delicious! Two of us ordered the chicken Philly Cheesesteak salad. The salad on my photo is the little one! We were impressed that lettuce no iceberg salad, only good healthy greens. We had also ordered the BLT and a Ruben with Fritten, who were also very good! We were all very happy that we made the choice to stop there! Food, atmosphere and service exceeded our expectations.

Great food, love Erick and his crew are they always kindly love to see our village go. Chicken Spedies are the best!

Went here on a whim as me and my family were starving and passing through the area on the way home .. pleasantly surprised with very friendly service as well as JUICY and DELICIOUS burgers.. the boneless wings were good too .. try it out if in the area .. worth the stop!
