Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I had an enjoyable Italian dinner. We both had their creamy pasta carbonera. They make their own pasta from scratch, which accounts for the great quality. This is an upscale establishment, so please leave your ball cap or cutoffs at home. The service was excellent. We even got some things we didn't order. Its only money, right? The 'captain' spoke fluent English. They featured some flamingo dancers in an interesting floorshow later that night.
It was not argentinian meat or dishes for that matter. The waiter did not listen to our order. We asked for a parillada mista with oven backed potatoes, no chicken and rare. Instead we ended up with well cooked meat, french fries and chicken. We decided to not leale any tip.
I came here with my girlfriend as we fancied a good steak and had seen a recommendation for this place in our lonely planet guide. We ordered the parrillada for two (basically a mixture of all their grilled meats) and a couple of drinks each - our bill was almost MXN 1000.The meat was distinctly average (I've honestly had better mixed grills at Wetherspoons) and the portions were very small - I don't expect to spend MXN 1000 on a meal and have to get tacos on the way home because I'm still hungry! If you are planning on visiting here do yourself a favour and go to El Cabrito just up the road - the food is much better and at about half the cost. Ps- the only reason I gave two stars as oppose to one was the lovely older gentleman who delivered our starters.
We ate here twice. There was charming Latin entertainment both nights. It is a pricey meal if you have the beef (though very good); however, the pasta menu is very reasonably priced and delicious! The perfect part is the opening complimentary cup of beef broth with spicey onion and jalapeño!
My friends and I were looking for a descent steakhouse to eat at, as we were done with tacos. We had passed this restaurant a few times during our stay and decided to give it a try. Although it say's argentinean, don't get your hopes up. Heck I don't even know what qualifies as Argentinean. I'm from Texas and know steaks, been to Brazilian churrascerias, but Argentina. Well the restaurant was pleasant. We had the beef soup to start which was small but good. The main dishes were cooked as requested. I had the ribeye and my friends had filets if I'm not mistaken. The sides were portioned well and overall was great. The drinks we ordered were mixed well and didn't disappoint. Although we were the only guests there at the time, our experience was good. There is outside seating with a great view as well.
