@salamasrestaurant an international cuisine with an emirati twist. A truly elegant gem located in the heart of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi Al Bateen. At Salama’s, every details count from the frame on the roof to the marble plate. Their menu is rich and diversified. We’ve tried sea food, chicken and meat. We’ve been to Salama’s for diner and they first treated us with a delicious zaatar and garlic bread accompanied by 3 different dips : the tuna was my favorite. I loved the way they present their lentil soup in a deep plate just in front of you. The watermelon Greek salad was a piece of art and tasty. For the mains, the sea food paella is a must try, the taste is the same you will find in Spain and the spices they use are unique. Then we had the most surprising dish I have had since a while : the machsotto a mix between the Italian risotto and the emirati machboos. Love at the first spoon You have the texture of the risotto but the taste and flavors of the chicken machboos this is a creation and signature dish of Mrs Salama’s herself. To finish we had a mushroom burger : I really recommend this one because the bun is made of potato and this makes it different and better. The ingredients inside are minimalist no need extra sauces of condiments. I highly recommend it. For the dessert, we had a fondant ah chocolat and a pomelo delight. The prices are very friendly and the service is worth a fine dining restaurant. They have an outside terrace with an incredible view in the marina and the yacht. During winter it will be a pleasure to sit there. Deliciously elegant. That’s how we’d describe @salamasrestaurant’s fancy fusion. Nowhere else can you find machsotto, a risotto-machboos hybrid, or camel lettuce wraps. Salama has joined the leagues of international foodies who blend borders at the table. The Korean short ribs is so soft. Like melts in your mouth soft. For vegetarians, the quinoa risotto is an interesting try.
I absolutely loved this place, the ambience, the view and the great service! The food is also very well created and everything we ordered was delicious, I loved the chicken Cesar salad, the take on the risoto and the calamari pasta! Even the butter chicken which I usually don’t like, was sooo good! Very light and not heavy. The desserts are another story!
