The restaurant offers delicious local cuisine at a reasonable price, which is a rare find in this region. The beef pie contains top-quality meat, making it a standout dish. Unlike some other restaurants that hide poor quality meat in their pies, this establishment uses high-quality ingredients. The haddock also tastes exactly like haddock, unlike other tourist traps that have been reviewed recently. Overall, it is a great place to eat in Ballater.

Like others have mentioned, this restaurant does not have a vegan menu, but the staff were very helpful in explaining which items could be made vegan. They were accommodating and willing to let us make adjustments to the menu. Most of their items are made in-house, making it easy to veganize the vegetarian dishes (including pizza options). I opted for the risotto and chips, which was a satisfying and delicious pub meal.

While vegan items were not specifically labeled on the menu, we were pleasantly surprised to find options such as vegan pizza, mushroom risotto, and vegetable tart available during our visit. The cheese used in their dishes is sourced from a local supplier who also offers vegan cheese, which we found to be far superior to anything found in supermarkets. The portion sizes were generous, with the pizza and other dishes leaving the kitchen being quite large. The bar had a good selection of drinks and the chips were particularly delicious. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth giving this restaurant a try - we certainly did not regret it.

Vegan items not marked on the map, but there was a vegan pizza, mushroom risotto and more sweet available when we visited. her cheese is branched by local suppliers who are in vegan cheese and is amazing, far over everything in the super markets. can not speak for the other dishes, but the pizza was massiw and all the others leaving the kitchen was also huge. good choice of drinks at the bar and the chips were also amazing. if you're in the opposite, we didn't regret it.
