Reasonable prices and a casual atmosphere similar to a set meal restaurant with a TV. The owner, probably accompanied by his mother and wife, were very warm and welcoming. Despite feeling unwelcome at other establishments as a traveler, I felt like they genuinely wanted to create a positive experience here. I received algae salt as a souvenir. Thank you for the meal. I came to Oki-no-shima town to see the special meaning of Candle Island with my own eyes. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the wind was too strong, so the sightseeing boat was canceled. I decided to give up and return the rental car, and planned to take the first ferry back the next morning. However, as I was taking a walk near the inn, I stumbled upon a restaurant called Suisen and decided to go in. I ordered the grilled meat set meal and as I started eating, the manager approached me. When asked where I came from, I ended up telling him my purpose for coming to the island. He kindly gave me tofu and a souvenir. "You must have come all this way for a reason, so I wanted to give you something to remember," he said to me. I left the restaurant with a warm feeling in my heart. I first learned about Candle Island when I first came to Japan, from a textbook at a Japanese language school. The author had visited Oki-no-shima town and was more impressed by the hospitality of the Japanese people than by the breathtaking scenery of Candle Island. They are always thinking about what they want tourists to take back with them, not just beautiful photos and souvenirs. Today, I may have been disappointed that I couldn't see Candle Island, but thanks to the kindness of the manager, I truly experienced the hospitality of the Japanese people and made a good memory.

Delicious in a simple way. The kimchi with pork intestines is tasty. It's like a starter dish? Today they served pickled ginger. It's good to eat it raw or grilled for a refreshing taste. It's not available at other restaurants, so give it a try!
